APPARATUS FOR EXCHANGING MOLD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform exchanging of molds in a short time and to improve productivity by a method wherein a placing stage consisting of a pair of upper and lower stages and placing a used mold on one stage and a mold to be used next on another stage is elevated and lowered just at the front of a manufacturing apparatus and is made to approach and to be separated in the horizontal plane to move it to the exchanging position. SOLUTION: A mold exchanging apparatus 10 on which a mold KZ to be used next is moved just to the front of a vulcanization pressing machine P and is positioned there. A used mold KS is taken out of the vulcanization pressing machine P and is taken up from a platen 98. A lower placing stage 53 is inserted between the used mold KS and the platen 98 and is stopped at an exchanging position T overlapping the used mold K5 and the used mold KS is placed thereon and it is elevated and lowered and separated and retreated from the exchanging position T. An upper placing stage 54 on which the mold KZ to be used next is placed is elevated and lowered and is made to approach and is moved to the exchanging position T and the mold KZ to be used next is delivered to a hoisting mechanism of the vulcanization pressing machine P. Centering work between the mold KZ to be used next and the vulcanization pressing machine P is facilitated thereby and exchanging work can be performed in a short time and productivity is improved.
