PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain optimal laser energy for machining by regarding the aperture of an aperture member as the light source of laser beams and regulating laser energy irradiated from the light source in a laser beam machining method. SOLUTION: In the laser beam machining method machining by irradiating laser beams 102 passed through the aperture 6a forming a laser beam diameter on an object 1 to be machined, laser energy of laser 102 after passing through the aperture 6a is detected, the value of detected laser energy is compared with the value required for laser machining, laser energy of laser beams 102 is regulated in accordance with the compared result, and laser beam machining is executed by irradiating laser beams 104 after regulating on the object 1 to be machined.
