PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve ignition performance of an engine and water proofing of an ignition coil, by protecting the ignition coil from heat of an exhaust device simultaneously with shortening a length of a high tension cord. SOLUTION: An outboard engine 1 is constituted by vertically mounting a 4-cycle type engine 2 so as to place a crankshaft facing a perpendicular direction. Here, an ignition coil 25 for engine ignition is provided in a head cover 14 of the engine 2, and a high tension cord 26, extended from the ignition coil 25 to be connected to a spark plug 27 of the engine 2, is extended from a lower surface 25a of the ignition coil 25. Further, an air suction part 28 of engine covers 6a, 6b, covering a total unit of the engine 2, is provided in the forward from the ignition coil 25. |
