PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject composition capable of improving the lubricity between an aluminum material and steel material and of suppressing their scorching and abrasion, and causing no environmental pollution, by blending a base oil such as mineral oil with polyoxyethylene-based nonionic surfactant(s). SOLUTION: This composition suitable as a lubricating oil for refrigerating machines each using an HCFC cooling medium such as 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane (R134a) is obtained by blending a base oil consisting of a mineral oil and/or synthetic oil with at least one kind of polyoxyethylene-based nonionic surfactant with a HLB number of 2-30 and the number of moles of oxyethylene groups added of 1-40 such as polyoxyethylene alkyl ether, polyoxyethylene alkenyl ether and/or polyoxyethylene alkyl aryl ether. |
