PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To synthesize an objective compd. at normal temp. by forming a side reaction field where energy is emitted on the surface of a solid catalyst. SOLUTION: The solid catalyst 2 used has such catalytic activity that, when a material (a) and material (b) are introduced into a reaction chamber 1, they causes the reaction of a+b→ab on the surface of the catalyst 2. In such a case, it is necessary that the reaction is an exothermic reaction which steadily proceeds at normal temp. Thereby, high-density energy is emitted from the surface 2a of the solid catalyst 2 to always form a high-energy reaction field (side reaction field) (f) on the catalyst surface 2a or its surrounding area. When specified amts. of a material A and a material B are supplied through an inlet 3a to the side reaction field (f), these materials A and B are activated by the high energy and the main reaction of A+B→AB proceeds at low temp. the compd. AB thus produced is discharged through an outlet 3b.
