AMPLIFICATION OF COMPLEX SPECIES OF MYCOBACTERIUM AVICUM AND DETECTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new oligonucleotide which posseses a specific base sequence, originates from mycobacterial BCG 85-B gene and is useful as a probe for detecting a gene of a complex species of Mycobacterium avium and a primer for various amplification reactions. SOLUTION: This is a new oligonucleotide which comprises a target-binding sequence of formulas I-V and a sequence necessary to an amplification reaction when necessary, originates from mycobacterial BCG85-B gene and is useful as a primer for complexed specific amplification reaction of a fragment of BCG85-B gene in a species of Mycobacterium avium complex(MAC) and a probe for detecting an oligonucleotide of BCG85-B gene in the species of MAC. This oligonucleotide is obtained by selecting an oligonucleotide usable for various amplification reactions containing MAC among a nucleotide segment of BCG85-B gene which codes for a part of mycobactirial α-antigen.
