PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermosensitive transfer medium which enables the formation of a transfer pattern not coming off even by cleaning with a nonchlorine detergent by providing an ink layer containing a polyurethane resin comprising a linear polyurethane, at least on a base material. SOLUTION: An ink layer containing linear polyurethane resin is formed at least, on a base material to obtain a thermosensitive transfer medium. The typical example of the base material is a polyester film or capacitor paper as already known, and the linear polyurethane resin in such as synthecized using polyol and isocyanate by an already known method. The referable linear polyurethane resin in such as having a molecular weight of 1-300,000. The linear polyurethane resin with a molecular weight of less than 10,000 shows the insufficient fretting resistance of print, and the linear polyurethane resin with a molecular weight of 300,000 or more is not desirable as its printing sensitivity is deteriorated. It is possible to add carbon black or titanium oxide to the ink layer. |
