PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a belt core wire from flying away during using or stripping between belt members and to improve the durability of the belt by providing notches on the upper side faces of a flat belt for pressing in the case of pressing a cake such as a strained draff of beer malt juice and coffee grounds. SOLUTION: This endless flat belt is produced by arranging reinforcing layers 5, 6 on the upper and lower of a core wire layer 4 of burying a core wire 2 with high strength and low extension inside an elastomer 3 and more lapping upper and lower cover rubber layers 7, 8. Notches 9, 10 are provided at least one side of these rubber layers 7, 8, preferably at the both sides on the upper face of the pressing side, even if the upper cover layer 7 is swelled with the liquid of a malt juice, etc., during pressing, the load of applying on the belt 1 from canvas inserting a cake is reduced and its braking is prevented. Further, the notches 9, 10 are shaped at the time of vulcanizing the belt, or these are formed by cutting or grinding after vulcanizing. |
