<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head combined with a face plate and a main body part. SOLUTION: This club head has means 14 for forming the high-strength forged face plate 11 for golf clubs. In such a case, the face plate has a slender peripheral edge lip part 11a thereon. This peripheral edge lip part extends to a slender shape by as much as a prescribed length in a horizontal direction in the state that the main body part 12 is placed in the ball hitting position. The main body part has further a recessed part 12b into which the peripheral edge of the face plate fits. As a result, the slender peripheral edge lip part of the face place is meshed with the slender slit 12a of the main body part and is formed along the peripheral edge of the face plate.</p> |
