A drain trap adapted for installing in the drain pipe of a drain system, including a casing having a bottom coupling tube coupled to the drain pipe; a stepped barrel mounted inside the casing, the stepped barrel having a top opening at the top of the upper barrel section thereof, a tail end at the bottom of the lower barrel section thereof, and a plurality of water holes around the periphery of the lower barrel section above the tail end; a water accumulator mounted inside the casing to hold the stepped barrel, the water accumulator defining a top opening through which the lower barrel section of the stepped barrel is inserted, and a bottom chamber, which receives the tail end of the lower barrel section of the stepped barrel; and a covering flange covered on the top opening of the stepped barrel, and defining a plurality of openings through which drain water flows to the water accumulator through the water holes of the stepped barrel and then flows over the water accumulator to the drain pipe.
