FIELD: computer engineering. SUBSTANCE: method provides generation of access current which switches selected cores into 0 ore 1 positions and writing new information into memory unit in single pulse in order to decrease access time to memory unit. Cores are mounted on orthogonal windings. Selected windings of one coordinate pass access current pulses which polarity corresponds to information to be stored. Selected windings of another coordinate pass current pulses of corresponding polarity. Preliminary selected windings of both coordinates pass current pulses of opposite polarity in order to simplify testing. Corresponding device has address registers, input and output numbers, testing circuits and storage unit. Storage unit is made from single bit cores which are controlled by means of corresponding bits of input number register.
