FIELD: production of mechanical toys. SUBSTANCE: traveling propeller has body composed of two halves 1,2 movable one relative to another, two groups of supporting legs, each group mounted on related half, two platforms 5,6 positioned between body halves. Platform 5 is pivotally fixed through pin 7 to body half 1 and platform 6 is connected through pin 8 to body half 2. Crankshaft is kinematically connected with drive 30, whose shaft 10 is pivotally connected with platform 6 and shaft 11 is pivotally mounted on platform 5. Propeller has mechanisms providing plane-parallel displacement of body halves 1,2 one relative to another and preventing relative rotation between body halves. Direction of displacement of propeller is controlled by selecting position of platforms 5,6 relative to body halves 1,2 through rotation of platforms 5,6 on shafts 7,8 by auxiliary drives or mechanisms.
