METHOD OF DETERMINING NATURAL SHEAR CHARACTERISTICS OF GROUND ON LANDSLIDE SLOPES

FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: this is needed at early stages of investigation and designing for justifying engineering protection of territories from dangerous geological phenomena such as landslides. Method implies measurements of depth and steepness of slopes on several landslides occurred in similar conditions. Then diagrams are plotted showing dependence of landslide depth on steepness of slope. Then determined are shearing and pressing forces acting on inclined surface with mass of ground involved taken into consideration. According to diagrams, calculated are design values of internal friction and cohesion forces. EFFECT: high efficiency. 3 dwg , 1 tblt
