FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: cutting bit has tapered nose part and cylindrical tail-piece made integral with it. Tapered nose part has head-piece with hard wear-resistant insert and flange located between head-piece and tail-piece and having diameter larger than diameter of tail-piece. Flange has one flat back surface with at least one groove extending radially inward from outer side surface of flange. This ensures in combination with bit cutting surface creation of resistance surface for introduction of tool tooth to remove cutting bit. EFFECT: high efficiency. 7 cl, 4 dwg.
