<p>This invention provides methods to obtain compositions substantially enriched for hematopoietic stem cells. Compositions obtained by the practice of these methods also are provided. The methods employ a separation regimen utilizing antibodies that specifically recognize and bind a novel hematopoietic stem cell marker designated herein as EM16. Monoclonal antibodies to this marker as well as the cell lines that produce these monoclonal antibodies are further provided.</p> |
