<p>The present invention provides polynucleotides encoding stem cell antigens, the partial sequences for which were initially isolated from THP-1 and bladder tumor cDNA libraries and which identify and encode novel human stem cell antigens. The invention provides for genetically engineered expression vectors and host cells comprising the nucleic acid sequences encoding the stem cell antigens. The invention also provides for the use of purified stem cell antigens for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases associated with the expression of the stem cell antigens. Additionally, the invention provides for antibodies, antisense molecules and inhibitors of the stem cell antigens.</p> |
