The receptacle comprises a flat grille on which food rests. The grille has a number of holes (D) in a regular grid pattern. Downward pointing spacers (S) maintain the distance from the base of the receptacle and are formed by downward-bent edge segments of the plate (P) forming the grille. Spaces (F) between the edge segments form part of a side flow free space. A handle in the form of an elongated metal element shaped like a loop protrudes laterally upwards and over the rim of the receptacle and is joined by its ends to the rim of the plate.
