The wire clamping collar (10) consists of a semirigid wire coiled on itself to form at least one coil (11) with a first end (12) provided with a catching loop (16) transversal to the plane of the coil and a second end (14) folded on itself outwards to form an elongation (26) extending substantially in the plane of the coil. This elongation (26) comprises a catching bend (28) that forms a recess drawing nearer to the coil centre and also comprises a precatching bend (32) located between the end (24) of the elongation (26) connected to the coil (11) and the catching bend (28), this pre-catching bend being similar to the catching bend.
