Multiturn revolution transposer for angular position encoder

The revolution transposer has one or more gear-stages (8) for transposing the turn of the shaft (2) according to a defined ratio. The gearing consists of cogwheels, at least one of which (8c.1) is partially in close contact with an inflexion element (12.1) fixed to one side of the transposer. This carries a sensor (11.1) which detects the turning angle resulting from the rotation of the cogwheel. The sensor may be linked to an analyser from which the number of shaft turns can be detected. A system for determining the exact angle of turn can also be included.
