Brake bracket for motor vehicle floating calliper disc brake

The brake bracket (1) is attached to the vehicle to support an axially movable calliper on either side of the brake disc. The bracket has laterally extending calliper support arms (9,10). The brake bracket can be made in one-piece from sheet metal and has a main body (2) parallel to the brake disc. On the radial underside of the bracket, there is a reinforcing rib (11) extending for the full width of the bracket. The rib can extend between two mounting eyes (4,5) for attachment of the support to the axle mounting for the vehicle wheel.
