Plasma burner for metal work-pieces

A plasma burner has a nozzle holder at the burner's upper or proximal end(10) and a cutting hole under the distal end for the nozzle (4) which can be fastened to the nozzle holder by a section (2) that is electrically connected to the nozzle. The nozzle holder has an outer covering (5) of electrically insulating material extending over the length of the section connecting the nozzle to the holder so that it covers it as far as the distal end. Here there is a rim (3) made of thermally resistive material which is rigidly fastened to the bottom end of the coating and is insulated from the connecting section.
