The overhead line (1) is braced at the arms (66) of the masts (65). It has at least one holding system (2) for a trolley wire (2) conducting current, which makes contact with the current collector of the vehicle. The holding system is designed as a laminar and a rigid supporting construction (2), at the underside of which, the trolley wire (3) is fixed elastically and vibration free. The carrying construction (2) is arranged in a vertical plane, running parallel, to the longitudinal axes of the mast (65). The carrying structure (2) consists of at least two parallel positioned rod shaped constructional elements (4, 5), which are arranged at a distance of 25 cm under each other.
