In a textile machine, especially a knitting machine, with controllable working components (5, 6), at least one machine component (3) supporting the working components (5, 6), at least one working component selector (8) and at least one securing magnet firmly secured to the machine component (3), the particularly reliably selection of the working components (5, 6) is obtained, even for very fine work and high machine speeds with simplified machinery and low construction and control costs, if two securing magnets (1, 2) of different polarity are arranged side-by-side which hold the working components (5, 6) in alternating sequence in their initial positions.
