Frequency conversion method for amplitude modulated input signal

An amplitude modulated (AM) input signal (Ue) with a given carrier frequency (Ft) is subjected to a frequency conversion by generating a differential mixed product at a differential frequency (Fd) and a summation mixed product at a summation frequency (Fs). This is done by multiplying the input signal by an oscillator signal (Uosc) of a given intermediate frequency (IF) (Fz). An intermediate mixed product at the IF is generated by multiplying the input signal by the differential and/or summation mixed product. Preferably the multiplication of the intermediate mixed product by the oscillator signal generates an output signal (Ua).
