The connection method involves establishing a radio connection between a pair of network subscribers using individual position identifiers for each of the subscribers. The subscribers locations are defined in the network and the relative position of the subscribers are determined. Preferably, the position identifier can be stored by each subscriber, with the position determined using at least the radio signals provided by stationary signal sources. The radio signals are transmitted directly or via the subscriber network.
