The dialling equipment includes a reading unit (1) which reads coded signal sequences from a data carrier (2). The reading unit is coupled to a converter (6) which converts the signal sequence to the required format for the connection set up. The signal sequence is transmitted to the telecommunication apparatus via a coupling unit. Preferably, the signal format is a sequence of low frequency oscillations. The signal sequence is stored in a storage unit (3) and the transmission of the signal sequence is released using a control unit (4).
