The lid (13) flaps up and grips over the open end of the main vessel part (2). A U-shaped hinged body (6) is placed over the rim of the open end of the drinking vessel. The hinge body has holder attachments (7,8) held in a pre-tensioned manner on the arms (6',6") of the hinge body. A plate-shaped lid part is linked to the hinge body and has its bridge piece (14) protruding beyond the link with the end facing away from the drinking vessel. The hinge arm gripping over the outer rim of the vessel has an extension (11) facing away from the vessel. The extension acts as a mounting for the shaft or axle (12) for the link.
