The arrangement consists of a vessel system with internally contained charger arrangement, an entry unit, and an output unit. A number of current sources, especially rechargeable batteries, of respectively different types and constructions are stored in a reserve container. Current sources entered respectively through the entry unit (2), are recharged, and are provided at the output unit for vending. A current source is released at the output shaft (3), at activation over a selection unit (6) and following activation of a value entry unit, especially coin switches (4), money card unit (5) or similar. An empty current source is tested for its ability to be recharged, and is put into a recharging queue, if a recharging is not possible the current source is rejected.
