An apparatus to form liquid droplets by using pressure oscillations comprises: (i) a vessel (6, 8), to contain the fluid and having an inlet (4) and an outlet nozzle array (9); (ii) an axially-vibrating plunger (3, 12) contained in a tubular section (11) supplied from the inlet, and producing the pressure oscillation; and (iii) corrugated bellows (5) axially surrounding the plunger and sealing it off from the fluid, the bellows being fitted flush into the end plate (13) of the tubular section, to seal the vessel off tightly.
