Enriched para-cresol recovery from mixture with meta-cresol

摘要

Recovery of enriched p-cresol (PC) from a mixture of m-cresol (MC) and PC comprises adding 2-pyrrolidinone (I) to the mixture in a weight ratio cresol mixture : (I) of 9:1 to 1:9, separating the precipitated PC-containing solid from the mother liquor and removing (I) from the product by distillation.
