High temp. fuel-cell electrodes system

A system of electrodes forming a high temperature fuel cell using at least two electrodes, one stable the other unstable, in which under the prevailing operating conditions the unstable electrode corrodes more readily than the stable electrode, is larger than the stable electrode, and thus juts out over the entire edge of the stable electrode. The non-stable electrode in the electrode system is the anode i.e. a nickel-cermet (ceramic-metal) electrode, which specifically overlaps the stable electrode around one edge by a width equal to three-times the electrolyte thickness.
