In a process for removing at least one specified gaseous component from the cabin air in an aircraft, the air to be cleaned is fed to an adsorbent, and the gaseous component is adsorbed. The air is returned to the cabin and the adsorbent is regenerated. As a regeneration gas stream, heated cabin air at cabin pressure is used, which is circulated around a circuit. An increase in the concentration of the specified gas takes place in the recirculated gas in the circuit, and the concentrated gaseous component and the waste air are dumped overboard out of the circuit and replaced by cabin air. Also claimed is an arrangement for the process.
