Cable harness arrangement for motor vehicle instrument panel

A cable tree arrangement for a vehicle instrument panel has a number of electrical units with plug connectors, a number of panel openings for the units, a housing in which the panel fits, and the tree itself, comprising a flexible flat conducting strip (22) and a number of self-adapting plug connectors (24) joined to it. The housing has a side wall with a channel to accommodate the cable tree and a number of plug connectors attached to those on the tree so that the tree is held rigidly in the channel. The other connectors snap onto those of the electrical units in the panel.
