The present invention relates to a radiating gas burner having a burner nozzle in the shape of a metallic-felt porous body, wherein said body is made of a refractory heat-resistant alloy having a fully open variable-thickness volume porosity ranging from 90 to 98 %. The average size of the pores along the thickness of the burner nozzle ranges from 50 to 1000 mu m and decreases in the direction of the protection lid. Discrete fibres extend above the upper surface at a given angle relative to said lid. The metallic-felt porous body is mounted within a support housing made of a refractory material. |
