A conveyor, designed to pass through a surface treatment oven at temperatures above 200 degrees C, has a drive chain (2) with its lubricating components - rings (18,19) and roller inserts (21) made from reinforced fluorene polymers e.g. PTFE reinforced with woven stainless steel filaments so that they remain solid at high temperatures. Other components of the drive chain, such as guide rollers (13), have their surfaces treated with 'Niflor', i.e. PTFE particles in a nickel-phosphor base.
