Two bodies (6, 7) rotate in bearings on their axles (8, 9), with one (6) protruding below the enclosing case (3) and being fastened to e.g. an electrically-propelled wheelchair. The other body (7) protrudes above the casing (2) to support a control console. A toothed belt (11) around the two bodies (6, 7) maintains console orientation when the arm is swung laterally. Cam wheels (16, 17) pivoted (22, 23) on spring-loaded carriers (20, 21) hold the arm (1) in any given angular position until a minimum force is applied, as regulated by the tension adjusted (30). All moving parts are enclosed by the casing. |
