<p>The first feature of this invention is as follows. An ink feeder comprises a plurality of ink tanks for storing inks and wetting water, disposed in a transverse direction of an ink fountain roller, a vane wheel disposed at the bottom of an ink tank, an ink pump for feeding ink, an ink feed blade for adjusting the quantity of ink supplied from the ink pump to the ink fountain roller to a constant value, and a coupling for transmitting the driving force of a single motor to the vane wheel and the ink pump provided to each ink tank. Inks of different colors in the transverse direction of the ink fountain roller can be fed, printing of different colors on the sheet surfaces of a plurality of sheets disposed in the transverse direction can be conducted, and the ink tank unit can be installed/removed at the time of the color change. The second feature of the invention is as follows. At least the ink tanks, the ink pump, the ink feed nozzle, the ink feed pipe and the ink feed blade mechanism among the members constituting a plurality of sets of ink feeders are built into one unit, and this unit can be fitted to and removed from the main body of the printing press. The processing of residual inks to clean the ink feeder and fitting and removal of the ink feeder are easy, and contamination of the surroundings is prevented. The third feature of the invention is as follows. The ink feeder is equipped with an ink scraper comprising scraped ink separators arranged parallel in the axial direction of the scraping doctor support device. Each of the scraped ink separators comprises an ink guide plate for guiding the ink scraped from the surface of the doctor roller, provided at the bottom, and color mixture preventive walls for preventing mixture of adjacent inks, provided on both sides of the guide plate. Therefore dull color due to mixture of inks of different colors is prevented and the quality of printed matters is improved. <IMAGE></p> |
