441,501. Rakes. BLACKSTONE, H. V., and BLACKSTONE & CO., Ltd., Rutland Engineering Works, Stamford, Lincolnshire. July 24, 1934, No. 21680. [Class 6 (iii)] For facilitating the transport of self-acting rakes, a rectangular cross frame A is rigidly attached to the main transverse frame B each end of this cross frame being provided with a bracket C carrying a stub axle D. These stub axles are adapted to take the road wheels E when it is desired to move the rake along roads, &c. An adjustable draw bar F is secured to the front end of the cross frame, this draw bar being adapted to be swung back during transport. When the wheels E are fitted on the stub axles D an auxiliary draw-bar H is slipped on the main axle ; a rigid projection on this draw bar extends into a slot in the main frame. When used with horses a pair of shafts replaces the draw bar. A jack L and a light stand or prop, carried in brackets on the main frame, facilitate the transposition of the wheels. The raising and lowering of the tines may be accomplished as described in Specification 284,449, [Class 6 (iii)].
