PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a sheet of highly oil absorbing absorbent paper for makeup, having a high true absorbency for sebum by single use and further capable of providing characteristics of a high transparency after use thereof and provide a method for producing the paper. SOLUTION: This sheet of highly oil absorbing absorbent paper for makeup is prepared by mixing 100 pts.wt. Manila hemp (30 deg. SR beating degree) with 20 pts.wt. microtalc (having 1.7μm average particle diameter and 16.0 BET m<2> /g surface area), providing a homogeneous dispersion, fixing the resultant dispersion to fibers with a fixing agent and then forming the sheet of paper with a cylinder paper machine. A wire cloth having 0.2mm wire diameter and 16 mesh size is used as the wire cloth of the cylinder paper machine and an uneven layer is formed at 22g/m<2> basis weight with one vat. The resultant web is subsequently treated with a super calender to provide 1.0g/cm<3> density. Thereby, the sheet of highly oil absorbing absorbent paper for makeup is prepared. |
