PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink cartridge preventing the mixing of air with the flow of ink and stably supplying ink to an ink jet head by forming a press part for pressing an ink holding member to the inside ridge line part of the ink cartridge having the ink holding member built therein. SOLUTION: When an ink holding member 16 is compressed to be inserted into a hollow case 12, strain is generated in the ink holding member 16 by the inside ridgeline part of the hollow part 12 and a fine gap is formed in the inside ridgeline part of the hollow case 12. Herein, by forming press parts 11a, 11b, 11c, 11d, 13a, 13b, 13c, 13d to the inside ridgeline part of the hollow case 12, the contact surface with the ink holding member 16 is changed from a line to a face by the ridgeline part and the ink holding member 16 can be certainly pressed. When the ink holding member 16 is inserted into the hollow case 12, pressing force is generated in the inside ridge line part of the hollow case 12 and the ink holding member 16 is increased in density as compared with other part by the ridgeline part and the gap can be filled with ink. |
