<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce sufficiently failure such as skewing, bending, jamming and incomplete separation by adjusting storage paper according to its size, residual quantity, stiffness and the like. SOLUTION: This paper feeding device is constituted so that a paper feeding roller 20 which is provided above a storage cassette 10 and at the position of the front end side in a paper feeding direction may be rotated in a pressure- contact condition with a paper surface in the storage cassette 10 to take out paper in the storage cassette 10 in the paper feeding direction. This device includes separating claws 60R, L which separate the top one of paper sheets and take it out in the paper feeding direction by a cooperative action with the effect which the rotation of the paper feeding roller 20 has upon the paper, guiding plates 30R, L which are brought into pressure contact with a paper surface in the storage cassette 10 on both sides of the paper feeding roller 20, and moving mechanisms 40R, L and 50 which change the relative position of the guiding plates 30R, L to the separating claws 60R, L, by moving the guiding plates 30R, L respectively in the horizontal direction which is orthogonal to the paper feeding direction.</p> |
