PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably form an image good in character reproducibility and gradation properties by transferring an ink layer by heating an ink film wherein an ink layer is formed on a base material film on the side of the base material film in such a state that a fine gap is provided between the ink film and an image receiving medium. SOLUTION: An ink film 1 is formed into an endless belt form and an ink supply means 6 and a heating means 7 are provided on the surface (on the side of the ink layer) of the ink film 1 to always regenerate the ink layer after recording to a uniform layer. The supply of ink is performed by supplying a powder dye and pigment from an ink supply means 6 such as a roller fitted with a hopper by electrostatic attraction force and diffusing them by a heating means 7 to form a uniform coating film. When a full-color image is formed, an yellow image forming part, a magenta image forming part and a cyan image forming part are provided on the periphery of a large platen roller 5 and respective colors are formed on an image receiving material 4. In apparatus constitution, a black image forming part may be further provided. |
