PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize highly efficient heating and to improve heating amount of generated gas with a compact apparatus by heating circulating gas circulated in a heat transfer tube of a thermal decomposition furnace with combustion gas of a high speed switching type regenerative type combustor or a regenerative type radiant tube combustor. SOLUTION: A heat transfer coil 6 in a horizontal rotary drum type thermal decomposition furnace 1 is formed with a circulating passage 8 together with a pipeline 7 in such a manner that the coil 6 is indirectly connected to the pipeline 7. A high speed switching type regenerative combustor 20 or a regenerative radiant tube combustor is disposed at a predetermined position of the pipeline 7. A circulating fan 4 is provided in the pipeline 7 between the combustor 20 and an outlet of the coil 6. Further, a dry furnace 10 is installed at an upstream side of the furnace 1. A branch tube 12 branched from the passage 8 is connected to the inlet 11a of a heat transfer coil 11 of the furnace 10, and an exhaust tube 13 is connected to an outlet 11b of the coil 11 of the furnace 10.
