PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a plurality of sheets of color proof through a single exposure by subjecting an image forming material comprising a photosensitive layer and a silicon rubber layer formed sequentially on a substrate to scanning image exposure thereby exposing the surface of the substrate in imagewise and transferring the imagewise ink layer to an image receiving sheet. SOLUTION: A photosensitive layer containing near infrared ray absorbing agent and a silicon rubber layer are formed sequentially on a substrate to produce an image forming material which is then subjected to scanning image exposure with near infrared rays from the silicon rubber layer side. The photosensitive layer is then subjected to abrasion at the exposed part and removed together with the silicon rubber layer side thus exposing the surface of the substrate imagewise. An ink foil is then laminated on the surface of the image forming material and eventually stripped thus providing an imagewise ink layer at the exposed part. Subsequently, an image receiving sheet is laminated on the image forming material which is eventually stripped and the imagewise ink layer is transferred onto the image receiving sheet thus forming a color material image. According to the arrangement, a plurality of sheets of color proof can be produced directly from a digital image through a single exposure. |
