PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the subject nonwoven fabric increased in the tensile strength in the direction perpendicular to its machine direction, reduced in the thermal shrinkage in the machine direction, and uniform in formation, by using heat seal type fibers under specified conditions. SOLUTION: This heat seal type nonwoven fabric is obtained by jointing heat seal type fibers (fiber length: 3-25mm; yarn fineness: 1-1.00 denier; aspect ratio: 25-2,000) under such conditions as to come to 61.2-3.0×10<5> in the constituent number of the fibers shown by the formula. This nonwoven fabric is suitable as a hygienic product such as paper diaper, napkin or pad for dealing with incontinence or mother's milk, or as an absorbing article such as wiper. |
