PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To previously reflect the driver's will of the shift operation according to road conditions in shift control by making a fuzzy reasoning of the driver's will of the shift operation expecting an automatic transmission according to the road conditions, and correcting target speed stage on the basis of this result. SOLUTION: Vehicle speed detecting means 29 detects a vehicle speed. Engine load information detection means 85 detects the information of a load. A camera 130 photographs road conditions in front of a vehicle. Image processing means 200 processes an image photographed, and recognizes the road conditions as image processing information. Target number of speed setting means 150 sets the target speed stage of an automatic transmission by treating a vehicle speed and the information of an engine load as parameters. A correcting means 350 makes fuzzy reasoning for the driver's will of shift operation expecting the automatic transmission according to the road conditions by treating the image processing information as a parameter, and corrects the target speeds stage on the basis of this result. Control means 71 changes over and controls the speed stage on the basis of this target speed stage. |
