PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PHS terminal with a control signal automatic re-transmission function whose operability is improved by discriminating a cause to a failure in the case of the failure in link setup for a radio block with a radio base station and trying re-dialing automatically for a plurality of number of times with one operation of the user. SOLUTION: When the user uses an operation key section 11 to make dialing, a signal transmission reception section 12 sends a link channel setup request signal to a radio base station 2 via an antenna 10 and when the radio base station 2 sends a link channel assignment reject signal with respect to the setup request signal, a reason discrimination section 13 receives the signal and discriminates whether or not the state of re-dial is in existence based on the reject reason, and the discrimination result is displayed on a result display section 16. When the discrimination result indicates a redial enable state and the user makes an automatic redial operation, a timer 14 is started and when the time of the timer expires, the signal transmission reception section 12 sends again a link channel setup request signal. When a link channel assignment reject signal is received from the radio base station 2 with respect to the link setup request from the PHS terminal 1, the procedure after redialing is repeated.
