PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic head capable of suppressing an effect due to adjacent cross talk. SOLUTION: An azimuth angle is given to a magnetic gap (g), and deviation in the track width direction is given to a confronting position between magnetic gap forming projecting parts of respective magnetic core half bodies. In this case, the deviation is the one in the direction that the angleθ1 between a center line F between the confronting surface of the magnetic gap forming projecting part and a wall surface of a track width control groove 10 opposite to that and the azimuth direction of an adjacent recording track TB becomes larger than the angleθbetween the magnetic gap g and the azimuth direction of the adjacent recording track TB.
