<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a water-base polyurethane resin which is excellent in adhesiveness and is suitable for a printing ink binder, etc., by reacting a specific acetylene glycol, another polyol, and an org. diisocyanate in a specified ratio. SOLUTION: This resin is obtd. by reacting 0.1-10wt.% acetylene glycol represented by the formula (wherein m and n are each the number of ethylene oxide units), another polyol (e.g. ethylene glycol), an org. diisocyanate (e.g. 4,4'-diphenylmethane diisocyanate), and if necessary a chain extender (e.g. ethylenediamine) and/or a terminal stopper (e.g. di-n-butylamine). A water-base printing ink is prepd. by using the resin as the binder. The joint use of the resin and a chlorinated polypropylene resin can further improve the adhesion of the ink to a plastic film.</p> |
