EQUIPMENT FOR RECOVERING ZINC IN DUST

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an equipment, in which zinc contact in recovery dust is concd. to about >=50% by reducing, vaporizing and recovering zinc oxide in the zinc-containing dust, the recovered zinc-containing dust can be sold in price corresponding to the zinc content and also, the zinc-containing dust can be used for dephosphorization of molten iron. SOLUTION: This equipment is used to directly produce the molten iron or molten pig 7 and recover the zinc in the dust by adding the dust which is exhausted from a metal refining furnace and contains mainly FeO, Fe2 O3 , ZnO, etc., carbonaceous material and CaO, into a furnace body 1 from a raw material charging hole 5 and blowing oxygen and/or oxygen-enriched gas into the furnace body 1. In this case, tuyeres 13, 14 for blowing all or a part of the dust containing FeO, Fe2 O3 , ZnO, etc., and CaO into the molten iron 7 are arranged at the bottom surface and the side surface of the furnace body 1.
